Sarah Paveley: a Level 3 foil coach: "I started fencing when I was 9 and had a successful competitive career as a junior, senior and veteran, gaining two silver Commonwealth medals. I want to pass on my love for the sport to my pupils. My first principle is that my fencers should enjoy their fencing at whatever level they choose, whether that’s as a club fencer or an international. I'm keen to offer the support and training fencers require to reach their potential therefore I regularly attend competitions and am always ready to have a chat about development and training."
Linda Strachan BEM: an Olympian who competed in the women’s foil events at the 1988 Seoul and 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics, won a total of seven National Senior Women's Foil titles and a total of nine Commonwealth Games medals. In 2015, she was awarded the British Empire Medal (as part of the Queen's Birthday Honours List) for founding Newham Swords and for her services to sport in the community. Linda coaches Advanced Sessions at Cambridge Sword on Mondays and Wednesdays.
